The story

So as a lot of you know, the last couple weeks of the pregnancy I was DONE! I will admit, I am really not one of those people who love being pregnant. Yes, it is incredible to feel the baby move and kick inside you......but I miss sleeping on my stomach, I am not one for pain, and I can DEFINATELY live without the HORRIBLE PAINFUL heartburn I seem to have every pregnancy! So I was done by the end nad Little Miss was set on making me wait until she was ready...how dare she right!? :-)

My due date came and went...I was having pretty strong contractions but they would come and go. The morning of the 9th (1 day after the due date) they definately got stronger. I knew I wasn't in active labor right then but I wanted her out!!! So we went to the hospital and I was only to a 3! But luckily my doctor is AMAZING and told them to admit me and he would start the Pitocin! YES! Not......they started the Pit. at 10:30 in the AM and by 9:00pm, nothing! So, my doctor broke my water about 10:30 and from there it went quick! They checked me about 12:30 and said I was only a 5........but then all of a sudden I had to push! So I did and her head was coming out. My dear husband and mother were in the hallway yelling for a dr. But anyways, basically the nurse delivered her and everything was perfect!!!!!

She weighed 8 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. Although people think that is a big baby, we think she is completely TINY compared to what her 10 pound brother was. :-)

Introducing......

Sophia Anne Pedersen

She is FINALLY here. And let me just tell you, she is perfect! She was born on July 10th at 12:48am weighing a whooping 8 pounds and 3 ounces. Everyone says she is a big baby but we all know compared to her brother she is TINY! Everything is going really well at home, just trying to adjust to having two "babies" basically. Jr is a great help but of course still wants all the attention. I will post more later with happenings and more pictures!

Our little fish

Let me tell you, this kid is a fish! He LOVES anything that is water. From the sprinkler, to the shower, to the dog's water bowl! He can't get enough. He is so cute!

Like father.....like son

Anyone who knows Jr, knows that he is definately his father's son. He is soooooo happy when dad gets home from work and he can wrestle and play with him. He thinks it is the best thing in the world when I take him to Jeremy'y work and he gets to sit on the tractors and even go for a ride with daddy. He is definately outgoing like his momma and always has to have everyone's attention but he is just as much like his daddy. It freaks me out sometimes the looks Jr will give me, I swear it is the exact same as Jeremy. lol. Not to mention, he looks just like him! Just a little bit. :-)
Jr is definately testing his limits here lately and seeing exactly what he can get away with. I won't lie, there are days when he is a total terror (Of course, I say that with pure love!)......but in a split second he will run up to you and give you love and that makes up for it. I am definately a sucker for his hugs and kisses!

Big Trucks and Moo Cows

This boy is definately not lacking in the energy department. He LOVES to play with all his cars and trucks. He really is such a boy. He makes sound effects for EVERYTHING, just like his daddy. Vrooom....Vroom. He is just so cute! Every morning when I take Jeremy to work we pass a company that has a bunch of big rigs in front.....then about 2 miles past there is a huge dairy with tons of cows. This is the highlight of his morning. He gets so excited when we come up to the "big trucks" and proceeds to "moo" the rest of the way at the cows. It really is the cutest thing.

We have started to get things ready for Josie's arrival! (Yes we have decided on the name Josie) We ended up deciding to get Jr. a toddler bed and she will be in his crib, EVENTUALLY. I know she will be in our room in the bassinet for awhile so we will see when Jr is ready to move to his "big boy" bed. Which I think, will come sooner than later. I am very curious to see how Jr is going to react to his new little sister. It is definately all about "mommy" right now. Which I try REALLY HARD to counteract that but it is always just me and him so I guess it is inevitable. I am sure it will be an adjustment but I know he will love her! It is so cute when he sees a baby now, he goes up and just stares in awe.

I included a video of Jr dancing to Barney. He LOVES to dance around to the music. That is why his daddy calls him "Boogie Man"

Baby Belly

Here it is folks!!! I am getting bigger and bigger! Although I actually don't think I am as big as I was with Jr. So HOPEFULLY.....just MAYBE she will be a little smaller than her 10 pound brother!
