Update on Jr.
Just quick update on Jr. They have been giving him antibiotics for the last 4 days and they seem to be making him feel quite a bit better. He has not had a fever in a day, which is good! Before it would go up and down throughout the day. So hopefully it stays down. And he is definately more content now, we can just tell he is feeling much better. It is crazy to think how horrible he must have felt before when he was so fussy...because he is now so content and peaceful. So now we just need to get through the next couple weeks and get all of these antibiotics in him and then we will be able to bring him home. Yeah, can't wait!!!! I have been staying there 24/7 with him up until tonight. It is definately hard to leave him at all. But tonight we decided it was best for me to come home and actually sleep for the night in my bed....and not on the chair in his room. :-)

My little lovebug
So......poor Jr is 2 weeks and 1 day old today and he has been in the hospital for the last 4 days.....and will be there for 21 more days. We have found he has bacterial Menigitis so they must give him antibiotics for 21 days to make sure they get it all out of his body. Poor guy is definately a trooper. He does hate to be pricked and poked by the needles. So that is the update for now. I know several of you have called and left messages and I apoligize for not calling you back. But as you can imagine I have had a lot on my mind and have been staying at the hospital with him. We ARE very grateful that we have Valley Children's Hospital so close to us. I know he will be fine because he is definately in the best hands. So please keep him in your prayers.

Introducing.........
Jeremy Dale Pedersen Jr.
Born: Friday, December 5th at 6:14am
Weighing in at 9lbs 15oz and 21 1/2" long
Well......he is FINALLY here. After the long days of waiting, Jeremy Jr has decided to join us in the world. Momma and baby are doing great. The labor actually was amazingly great and did not last very long at all. So Friday morning I woke up at 4:20am to my water breaking......at first I was not certain but then it was followed by the most painful contraction yet so I was sure it was time. I immediately got up and started pacing around my house. I have had a few false alarms so I wanted to make sure this was the real thing. But basically the contractions never went away and were VERY painful. SO I called the birthing center and they said it sounded like I was in labor but since this was my first baby to take a shower and get my things together. I would have plenty of time. Let me just tell you......whoever thinks a shower relaxes you has no idea what is going on! lol. I got into the shower and it just made it worse and then just made it take me longer to get ready because I was now covered in water! But after probably about 20 minutes.....which seemed like 2 hours, we were on the road. Let me just say I have the best husband ever......he did everything perfect. Even with me screaming at him the whole way to the hospital. :-) But come on, what else was I supossed to do right. So we got to the birthing center at about 5:45 am and I was dialated to an 8!!!! No wonder it hurt so freakin bad. Which is funny because I was in there the day before and I was only dialated to a 2. But anyways they barely got me into a room and an IV in my hand and I was pushing. I pushed about 4 times and he was completely out! Beautiful as ever!!!!!! I will be honest, as soon as I went through those hospital doors I was asking for medicine. But it was way too late for that. So I had no choice but to suck it up and deal with it! But it was quick......we got there at 5:45 and he was born at 6:14am. We don't waste any time.

So this is actually from him coming home from the hospital for the 2nd time. Since he was born so quick, he had a lot of facial bruising. Which caused him to have a higher chance of Jaundis. So hey tested him before we left but his level was fairly low. I took him back for a check up Sunday morning and his level had raised quite a bit. So the poor little guy had to be admitted back in for treatment. Although they said he would be there atleast 24 hours, he is now home after only 12. They did the light treatment on him for 12 hours and now he is doing great! His bruising has gone down a great deal as well. He is perfect as ever and we are so happy to have our little man here.

No Baby Yet
Well this about sums up my feelings right now! :-) I must say, I have talked to more people in the last week than I usually talk to in a year! I know everyone is very anxious for Jeremy Jr to be here. Well so are we! But as I keep saying, he is already just like his daddy. Jeremy makes a point to never be on someone else's "time schedule". He will get there when he is ready. And obviously Jr. has this same view point.
So I have an appointment this evening....I am patiently trying counting down the hours till it is time to go. And HOPEFULLY (PLEASE cross your fingers) my doctor will say it is time!

The Waiting Game
So I thought i would write and update everyone on the baby! Sorry if I have been out of touch with everyone. Everything has just been crazy trying to get ready for the baby and I am trying to rest as much as possible. So obviously....he is still not here. I had a doctor appointment yesterday and as the dr said he could come anytime. He did not check to see if i was dialated since I am already so uncomfortable. But I have another appointment on Tuesday of next week. And he will check then. BUT hopefully I don't make it to that appointment! I have been having contractions about 6 minutes apart........but they don't usually last longer than an hour. So he said as soon as they last longer than an hour and intensify over time, that is the time to go to the birthing center. So......hopefully that will be soon!

4 more weeks!
So.......the countdown begins. 4 weeks until my due date and I am SOOOOO ready. I know he will come in his own time but as every day goes by I get more uncomfortable by the minute! I wake up every night atleast every hour. It is insane. I know it is getting me ready for the sleepless nights to come. BUT atleast when I have to wake up for the baby, I will be able to sleep on my stomach for awhile! Right now there is no way possible to get comfortable. And of course there are the back aches that never stop and all the other pains. Okay, that is my little bit of complaining.
We are just so ready to meet our little man! I can tell the last couple of days Jeremy is getting anxious as well. He keeps saying, "When is Jr. going to get here!??". :-) I love how excited he is. We have everything ready and set to go for the baby. His room is perfect. I just can't wait! I have my next doctor appointment tomorrow so we will see how everything is going then!
I will update soon!

Pumpkin Fun
We decided to carve pumpkins and decorate the yard a bit for Halloween. Cameron had so much fun cleaning out the guts of the pumpkin and making his only little sculpture. We also went and picked out his costume. Let me tell you, it is quite an adventure picking out a costume with an 8 year old! He wants to everything at the same time! We finally decided upon some kind of death punk rocker guy. And then of course he had to get an ax, because that just makes the costume all the better. :-) Aren't kids great!

Jeremy Jr.
Well I had another ultrasound yesterday and at 33 weeks Jr is doing good! I must say this is the cutest picture of him I have seen yet. His little nose and lips! He is growing nicely. And laying very low, which makes it very uncomfortable for me but he is head down ready to go! :-) So next month it is.....hopefully he holds on till then!
Baby Showers
What can I say! I have wondeful friends, family, and co-workers! Last weekend I had two showers; one at home and one at work. I received so many great things and had such a good time visiting with everyone!

An "exciting" day!
This is me leaving after being at the hospital for hours! :-)
So I had a bit of an exciting day yesterday........
My stomach muscles have been really sore the last couple of days and then just about 2 days ago I started having a little bit of cramping. Nothing really painful but of course not the usual. So I dealt with it for awhile until my husband got tire dof hearing my complain and told me "WELL CALL THE DOCTOR!" So I dropped him off at work and called Kaiser. They proceeded to ask me a million questions and then decided it would be best for me to come in and them to monitor me for a bit. So I drove right past work and straight there.
They hooked me up to the monitor to listen to the baby and see hwat was going on. As soon as she hooked me up she said "oh look....you are having a contraction". Hmmmmmm.....okay. Interesting. So they gave me a pill to stop the contractions. Which gave me a horrible headache but I guess I have to pick my battles right.
I must say thought, it was very cool to sit there and listen to the baby move while I was hooked up to the monitor! He moves a lot more than I actually feel all the time. So they then sent me home and told me to come back if I have any more pain. And they will probably give me another pill. I am not dialating at all.....so that is a good thing.
We will just wait and see how long he will wait!!! He better wait a couple more weeks atleast! :-)
On another note.....my baby showers are this weekend! My boss is throwing me one at work tomorrow. That should be fun!
Then Saturday my wonderful friend, Felicia is throwing me one for friends and family! I can't wait to see everyone. It is funny how we all get so busy with our lives. Even though we live in the same town we don't see each other for months and months....until something big happens. Oh well...I won't complain. I have great friends and family and can't wait to see all of them!!!

San Francsico
Awww......we love each other!!!!
Our fabulous breakfast. Didn't even have to get out of bed....that is my kind of meal.
View from the hotel room.....and this building had the coolest garden on the roof. This is why I love the city.
My big ol' preggo belly!
Isn't she cute!
So Mom and I went to San Francisco for a quick visit this weekend. It was so nice to see my brother, Curtis and Michael too! Since they are so fabulous, they put us up in the Renaissance Hotel on the top of Nob Hill for the night! It was so nice and seriously had the softest pillows I have ever seen before. We did some shopping for the baby and I FINALLY feel like I am actually accomplishing things and getting things done...which is a good thing.
Time has gone by so quick and it seems at the end of the day by the time me and Jeremy get home we are both so exhausted to do much of anything. Slowly but surely things are definately coming together. My wonderful husband has been doing so much around the house to get everything together!!!! He definately takes care of me!
Well there are of course a million things going on but for now this is all.....until next time!

Baby Registry
So I have been told over and over again that I need to start thinking about the things I want to register for for my showers. So I decided to start my search online and see what this was all about. I started at Babies R Us and found a helpful list of recommended items to register for. Which did help, because let me tell you....I was feeling completely overwhelmed in about 5 seconds after looking at all of the millions of different thing. I didn't get very far with Babies R Us, not yet anyway. I still need to go into the store and actually pick out some things. But I did manage to get Jeremy to come with me to Target after my dr appointment this week and we spent awhile marking stuff down. After I got over the intial shock of all of the different things, I had a great time picking out things we needed. So I decided that those are the two places we will register. Between the 2 I think they have a pretty good selection of items with all different price ranges. So take a look and see what you think! And if anyone has any advice for me about ANYTHING you know I am always glad to hear it!

Ultrasound
So I had my 2nd trimester ultrasound a couple weeks ago. Everything went well except for the fact that I had to basically hold my pee for 2 hours! By the time they called my name (30 minutes after my original scheduled time) I was totally in tears. Yeah basically I am a big baby but it was hard! I guess this is just getting me ready for actually giving birth! But we found out we will be having a boy! So this is very exiciting! We are both very happy. And Cameron is ECSTATIC that he will have a little brother.
